ESPN hires Michelle Obama’s brother as college basketball analyst

ESPN now has a good connection to the White House.

The network hired Craig Robinson Tuesday to work as a college basketball game and studio analyst for ESPNU. Robinson, who was fired after six seasons as head coach at Oregon State, is the brother of Michelle Obama.

It remains to be seen whether ESPN will tap into that relationship to gain more access to President Obama. The President does have an annual ritual with the network’s Andy Katz where he selects his brackets for the men’s and women’s NCAA basketball tournaments.

Former South Florida and Arkansas coach Stan Heath also was added as an analyst for ESPNU.

  1. Hope Robinson is better analyst than coach. Since the Cardinals aren’t like the CUBS (Certainly Underwater By September), what would be “yuk” is Robinson following his sister’s lead and telling us what athletes should eat (something from her organic garden). Vacation addict should focus more on saving taxpayer’s some money by not using separate vaca plane than hubby.
