Chicago is crushed this morning. There’s nothing worse than the day after losing a Game 7, especially to a town that doesn’t care about hockey. The Kings victory didn’t even make it above the fold in LA.

Hey! It’s LA, where a sitcom star from 40 years ago gets equal billing with a team competing for a title in 2014!
Perhaps instead of grabbing the front page of the Orange County Register, you should have grabbed the front page of the Los Angeles Register and looked at the top of the page,
Link to epaper front page of the Los Angeles Register:
One city is full of transplants in need of sun, the the newspaper wishes to report news. The other is full of natives or local non hockey cities, and focus on entertainment.
Please consider: It’s because one team’s season ended and the other team’s season didn’t. The Los Angeles papers will go just as big when the Kings’ season ends, one way or another.
Lead story on latimes.com after Game 1 and overnight: Kings. Surely, Ed, you should reconsider your stance.
Seems only right, Ed, for you to post the front page of Saturday’s LA Times. Let’s see how it plays the Stanley Cup victory compared to the Chicago papers.
